9 states permit abortion with no restrictions, 41 states permit abortion with certain restrictions.

We are taking their right to live just like how they took many other innocent people's right to live. I though it was a universal right? I guess the criminal wasn't aware of that. You cannot support someone's wrong doing you will always lose.

I beg to differ, this quote from the following website clearly displays that deterrence is affective. “Then in 1973 Isaac Ehrlich employed a new kind of analysis which produced results showing that for every inmate who was executed, 7 lives were spared because others were deterred from committing murder.”

This quote also enforces the fact death penalty is the only act that will deter a crime if it can be deterred.

”Even though some statistical demonstrations are not conclusive, and perhaps cannot be, capital punishment is likely to deter more than other punishments because people fear death more than anything else. They fear most death deliberately inflicted by law and scheduled by the courts. Whatever people fear most is likely to deter most. Hence, the threat of the death penalty may deter some murderers who otherwise might not have been deterred. And surely the death penalty is the only penalty that could deter prisoners already serving a life sentence and tempted to kill a guard, or offenders about to be arrested and facing a life sentence. Perhaps they will not be deterred. But they would certainly not be deterred by anything else. We owe all the protection we can give to law enforcers exposed to special risks.”

According to an article form telegraph “1980s and 90s justified execution as an act of righteous retribution – an Old Testament ‘eye for an eye’ that appealed to America’s God-fearing heartlands.” An eye for an eye, if the criminal committed a crime cruel enough to be executed he will receive what he deserves.

An eye for an eye.

Death penalties are sentenced with great care and certainty. “The U.S. Supreme Court has determined that a penalty must be proportional to the crime;” Therefore if a crime doesn't affect the majority a death penalty will not occur.

Furthermore, this quote clearly backs up the fact that death penalties are only done when it betters and creates a safer society. “With a yearly average of 15,000 murders, the fact that we are reaching 1,000 executions in only a little more than 30 years is proof that capital punishment has been reserved for the worst of the worst.”

How is killing a fetus a BABY who will become a human just like you, who hasn't ever seen his mother before not classified as cruel and unusual. It is inhumane.

Indeed the sates, who do have strong restrictions on abortion have to be aware of this “you can’t reconcile being pro-life on abortion and pro-death on the death penalty.”

It is very rare that drug failure occurs as the people performing the execution are medically trained. However, everything has a risk of going wrong as anything done by humans has a risk of failure.

This quote by John McAdams from Marquette University, clearly states, "If we execute murderers and there is in fact no deterrent effect, we have killed a bunch of murderers. If we fail to execute murderers, and doing so would in fact have deterred other murders, we have allowed the killing of a bunch of innocent victims. I would much rather risk the former. This, to me, is not a tough call."
