President Obama's statement on Aug. 13 endorsing "the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan"

They are planning to build a 16 story building with only two of the floors are prayer rooms.They are also planning to make a basketball court,swimming pool,500 seat auditorium,9/11 memorial,culinary school, gym and a child care facilities and this building is open to the public. So this means that everybody can use it will not just be for muslims so it will benefit everybody not just muslims

Obama says: "As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country," - Barack Obama

This means that he believes that muslims have the same right to practice their religion

I think they should change it because if ground zero stays the same it will remind them even more about their loss

Opening statement:

Religious freedom is a major issue in the world today. Having said that we should not be discriminating against different religions across the world. One major issue as an example is building a mosque near ground zero. This should not be a problem when religious freedom is protected by the first American amendment, that states “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of”. If we are truly to believe in the bill of rights this should be considered when you would come to argue this point.

Today we will be discussing about the plan to build a mosque, 2 long city blocks away from ground zero. Freedom of religion is part of the first amendment which applies to everyone. Only one floor out of a five floor building is going to be for prayer. It does no harm. Just because a small group of muslims did something bad that does not mean that the people can accuse the whole religion. There are good and bad people everywhere in the world, but no one seems to pinpoint there entire race and or religion. Religion is to be preached wherever and whenever pleased and one should not have the government interfere. Someones actions should not affect the entire race and, or religion/ belief. Therefore there should be no issue in building the mosque in its original location.

If this person didn't know about why should they be held responsible. He is still a role model to the people, it has nothing to do about it. He didn't know anything about how they are made why should he held responsible

No they should not be held responsible because if it's their product and they found out about it later it's not their fault. It has their name on it but it should be the companies fault not their fault
